Strengths Weaknesses
  • Huge damage potential: With his 46P / 214LP loops, Jean Paul has the potential to blow characters up off of one interaction.
  • Good movement: If used correctly, Jean can use his specials to move across the entire screen.
  • Fast projectile: The speed of his 646P projectile makes it one of the best in the game, only rivaled by the versatility of Melaine's 236P.
  • Evading supers: In some matchups, his 63214K can allow him to dodge supers by getting behind the opponent.
  • Stubby normals: Outside of a few exceptions (5HK, 2MK, and 5MK), his normals lack some of the reach and priority that other characters have.
  • Bad reversals: Even on hit, his 214LP leaves him vulnerable to attacks on his wakeup. Other reversals are also situational at best.
