Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax/Zero
Introduction
Zero(ゼロ) is Originally from the light novel Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho. Zero is arguably the best counter assist in the game, with an unblockable counter that becomes active almost immediately. The unblockable counter goes out a few character spaces leaving overly ambitious opponents frustrated. 6S works as a decent poke which travels across the screen (does not hit airborne opponents) but is mainly used for combo extension.
Who Does This Assist Work Well With?
Note that, this section is for defined teams and does not dictate that the assist can only be ran with "x" characters. Despite the age of DFCI (and DFC in general), decently strong synergy has yet to be discovered which can rival most of the game's strong teams.
Ako
Ako's most commonly used assist in Japan. She is able to use her free assist cancel to use 6S as a combo extender as well as good very solid damage off of 5S counters. The high amount of hitstun due to the launch allows her to do some fairly nice routing.
Qwenthur
Qwen with zero is a more match-up specific pick (Iriya, Rusian) that keeps him on even ground in both match-ups. Qwen damage is so high from his meterdump options that he is able to put up with the 5S counter lowering damage (he still gets 50+%!) and 6S works as a combo extender.
