Glove on Fight 2: Gleam of Force/Papeko Imagawa

Overview
Overview

An unfortunate traveling performer whose body is controlled by the puppets on her hands. Despite looking like simple dolls, they're actually parasitic alien lifeforms. She wants to win the Gleam of Force tournament in order to become famous, but it's clear that she picked the wrong field to compete in. It's not so bad though, the kappa and bull know how to put up a good fight.

Playstyle
GOF2 Papeko Icon.png Papeko Imagawa is a mid-ranged semi-grappler and setplay character that somehow always manages to get INFIGHT before you do.
Pros Cons
  • Setplay Bubbles - Setplay bubbles punish button-based aggression in a very rushdown-centric game.
  • Difficult to Punish in Neutral - Mid-ranged normals can be tricky to punish even with a parry.
  • INFIGHT Priority?! - Dash out-prioritizes every other character's when it comes to deciding who gets INFIGHT!! This effectively allows her to have the threat of a full-combo on deck at any time.
  • What's my Route?! - Odd combo routes that can be difficult to properly get down.
  • Where's my Route?! - Probably replaced Yumizuka Satsuki.
  • Setplay Blindspot - Setplay Bubbles can be walked through, limiting (but not removing) their usefulness.
  • No Dash Cancels - Cannot Dash Cancel, barring her from playing at longer ranges.

Papeko sticks out the Kappa and fires a single setplay bubble with quick recovery. Much like Hisui's chair, an opponent hitting this will activate a clash frame, causing them to be hilariously minus. Unlike Hisui's chair however, the opponent can simply dash through the bubbles, so be aware of that.

22B - - - - - - -

Papeko uses the Kappa to fire multiple setplay bubbles with a lengthy recovery time. Far less practical as the opponent can still move past them.
