Introduction

A major ally in Vento Aureo, the fifth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Trish Una is a defensive character who uses her wall and traps to control space and punish errant movement.

While in Stand Off, Trish can use "Something soft is even more unbreakable than diamond!" to set up a wall that reflects most projectiles back at her opponent. Trish also possesses some choice normals: her powerful j.H which leads to a groundbounce and an opportunity for a full combo, and her anti-air 2H that also launches her opponent on hit. Trish is by no means lacking in defense: the aforementioned wall also doubles as a defensive option, as it pushes opponents back on hit and can be used as a Guard Cancel on block; and she comes equipped with an invincible meterless reversal in "Crush!".

After switching to Stand On, Trish gains access to "I've turned it soft!", a ground trap which does no damage but launches opponents high in the air on contact for a full combo opportunity. She also gains access to an enhanced version of "Spice Girl!" as well as "Nobody's getting taken out today!": two moves that deal very high Guard Damage, making it dangerous to block against Trish for long periods of time. While her normals in Stand On are particularly stubby, making neutral more difficult to play, she can force many opponents to carefully approach her trapped space.

Pros Cons
  • High Guard Damage: Some of Trish's special moves deal very high Guard Damage, allowing her to easily score Guard Breaks against more passive opponents.
  • Space Control: "Something soft is even more unbreakable than diamond!" can set up a wall that acts as both an obstacle and a reflector. Similarly, "I've turned it soft!" is a trap that has a deceptively large hitbox and can be chained into Stand Rush, rendering Trish fairly safe on activation.
  • GHA Extension: Trish's GHA ends in a groundbounce, which can be followed up on with Assists or her trap (with a Taunt on this case) for additional damage.
  • Limited Damage Potential: Trish deals lower midscreen damage than most characters, making her more reliant on Assists to convert into high-damage combos.
  • Extremely Stubby Normals: While Stand On leads to more efficient damage, her buttons in this mode are outranged by a majority of the cast.

Trish summons Spice Girl, who turns the ground soft and stretches it upwards to create a "wall".

  • The point where Spice Girl created the wall determined is by the version used.
  • On hit, the wall will push grounded opponents away, while launching airborne opponents mostly upwards and away.
    • If the opponent is hit by the wall within a certain distance, they will be pushed towards Trish instead.
  • If the button is held, Spice Girl leaves the wall in place. The wall lasts ~8 seconds, and will reflect certain non-HHA/GHA projectiles while active.
  • The move can be used as a Guard Cancel by inputting the command while blocking; using it in this manner costs 0.3 HH Gauge.
    • If used in this manner, the wall's damage cannot kill the opponent.

L version:

  • Places the wall directly in front of Trish.

M version:

H version:

  • Places the wall the furthest.

Trish shoves her opponent off-balance. Afterwards, Spice Girl swings a metal pipe downward to knock the opponent down before repeatedly stabbing them with it.

  • Leaves the opponent directly in front of Trish.
  • Both Throws are identical aside from direction.
  • Range is signficantly increased if used while in Stand On.
  • The one move where Trish uses her hand, meaning it gets obscured by her "Special B" costume.
  • Because Trish ends up right next to the opponent, she can go for a s.3H follow-up.

Trish commands Spice Girl to deliver a ground punch, unleashing a wave of softened ground that travels a significant distance forward. On a successful hit, the opponent is repelled backwards off their feet, with Spice Girl following up with a series of attacks.

  • Causes a groundbounce after the cutscene ends. GHA > s.22L > Cinematic Taunt can allow for post-GHA combos.
    • An Assist can also be used in place on a Cinematic Taunt if the latter has been already consumed.
