Connecting

Method 1: Port Forwarding

Step 1

Look for instructions on your router on how to port forward. The game will always use port 7500, but it can be changed in the game's settings if necessary.

Step 2

Player 1:

  • Give your IP Address to your opponent so they know where to connect to.
  • Next, go to 'Online' in the game, then 'Host a Game'! From here, all you have to do is wait for your opponent.

Player 2:

  • Copy the IP Address the opponent gave you.
  • Next, go to 'Online' in the game, then 'Join a Game'. After that, go to 'New Fighter'.
  • The game will then ask for a name to refer to the opponent as. \
  • Enter a name, then press the Enter key.
  • The game will then ask you to enter an IP address.
  • Press the Insert key on your keyboard, as the IP address is in your clipboard.
  • Press Enter, then connect to your opponent!

Method 2: Using Radmin

Step 1

Download Radmin VPN here!

Step 2

Join the KBB Global Server for Radmin. (It would be wise to also join the Discord for matchmaking.)

Global Server #1 (Radmin, FULL):

Server Name: Kirby Battle Blitz: Online Matches

Password: GlitchedOut37!

Global Server #2 (Radmin, FULL):

Server Name: Kirby Battle Blitz: Online Matches #2

Password: Nightofthe10Susmen

Global Server #3 (Radmin, 9/150):

Server Name: Kirby Battle Blitz: Online Matches #3

Password: VioletViolentViolatingAnnihilator47+

Step 3

Player 1: Rename yourself by clicking on 'System', then 'Change Name'. This is to make yourself easier to locate for your opponent.

Step 4

Player 2: Find your opponent in the Radmin Server. Right Click on their name, then click on 'Copy IP Address'.

Step 5

Follow similar steps to Step 2 of the Port Forwarding Method.

Troubleshooting

Avoiding Desyncs

  • Make sure your version number in the bottom right of the main menu screen matches your opponent.
  • Make sure your gameplay settings under options are the same as your opponent's, such as the time limit.

Failing to Connect

  • Check your antivirus firewall to ensure the game's connection isn't blocked.
  • Go Offline and Online again in Radmin and Retry.
  • Make sure the host is hosting before joining.

Game extremely laggy

  • Make a room on Radmin, then disable your connection to the global servers when using the room.
  • Try disabling VSync.
