Air block whiffing

It's unknown of this is intentional or a bug: When jumping into long-lasting projectiles like Gozu's 41236A flame pillars you can quickly input 4 (to block) and then return the stick to neutral to pass through invincibly. This requires very strict timing. (Information from JP Wiki, testing required.)

Walk/Throw option select

A quirk of the input interpreter allows you to throw while holding C if you input back then forward quickly. This will give you a throw if you're in range or just walk forward if not. This can be performed out of a dash since you can cancel the dash with back or down-back.

Throw tech vulnerability

For specific combinations of attacker/defender when teching a throw the defender is not actually invincible and can be hit. There are two sets of characters where this happens:

  • Set 1:
    • Attacker (any of the following): Hayate, Joker, Gordon (if no input after tech), King Lion, King Leo
    • Defender: Rosa, Kim, Gozu, Angry Chung, Jyazu
  • Set 2:
    • Attacker: Chung
    • Defender: Kim, Normal Chung, King Lion, King Leo
  • Set 3: Kim can attack Kim.
