Overview

Guncannon is the second mobile suit developed for the Earth Federation's V Project, which led to the creation of the Gundam, Guncannon and Guntank. Guncannon was one of the mobile suits aboard White Base during the one year war, piloted by Kai Shiden. In EX Revue, Guncannon is a zoner that takes inspiration from Street fighter's Sagat, best seen with the Guncannon's low and high fireballs.

Pros Cons
  • High Damage: Guncannon has some of the most damaging attacks in the entire game
  • Great Grab Game: Guncannon gets a metric ton of reward off most throws thanks to an unblockable follow-up Hide Bomb.
  • Great Counter Zoning: Because Low Grand Cannon leaves Guncannon in a crouching state, it allows Guncannon to duck under fireballs he would otherwise have to respect which makes working around fireballs easy.
  • Unblockable Setups: Guncannon has access to an unblockable off of any 2B or Grab using 2369x.
  • Bad at Mid Range: Guncannon is strong up close or far away but if Guncannon has to play outside of jab range he has to commit to some risky buttons to do much.
  • Awkward Air-to-Airs: Guncannon’s only good air-to-air buttons are next to useless against opponents above it. This can be mitigated by trying to answer air approaches with grounded options but this still comes up annoyingly often.

A 2-hit lariat that launches on the second hit. It's not the best but you could use it as an anti-air. Mostly just used as a meaty.

The first hitbox serves as one of Guncannon's better anti-airs if timed properly, but more often than not players make more use the second hurtbox because of the good disjoint and strong empty cancels.

Crazy active attack that knocks down. While it may be a proximity normal, it can be used as a strong anti air against opponents who are sticking to you with jump ins thanks to it's vertical disjoint.

Guncannon crouches down and fires a low hitting fireball at a different speed depending on the strength of the button used for the attack. This attack can low profile most fireballs and a very large number of attacks, but takes a long time to whiff, so be careful throwing this out without care in neutral.

Guncannon shoots a fireball that can be ducked but recovers much faster than it's low counterpart. Just like 236x, the button used changes the speed which the fireball travels at.

Guncannon leaps into the air above where the opponent was when the attack began and shoots a fireball at the ground that explodes with 7 hitboxes when it reaches the ground, hitting low and crossing up outside of the corner. While this move does bully anyone who doesn't understand how it works, its very easy for an opponent to either dodge and punish or jump up and swat Guncannon out of the air. Safe on block outside of the corner. One important thing to note is that when this attack hits meaty before the opponent turns around to face Guncannon it becomes unblockable.

Guncannon leaps into the air with an elbow strike, travelling more or less horizontally based on the button used for the attack. Only the second hit knocks down, which can be a major problem in combos as this attack is prone to only getting one hit if the distance between players is too far. This is Guncannon's reversal.
