Gaara

CONR3 Gaara.png
Health: 10,000
Guard Gauge: 10,000
LNP Activation %: 20%
Damage Modifier: 1x

Main Strengths

  • Sand pillar paper bomb loop. Easy infinite that can only be escaped with KnJ, but can auto-punish KnJ into a new combo.

Additional Notes

Latent Ninja Power
  • LNP (activates at 20% health remaining) essentially turns Gaara into a defensive powerhouse, giving him these buffs:
    • Gaara no longer takes chip damage, and gains the ability to block almost any move.
      • This includes supers and pure unblockables (like Kisame's Water Prison Jutsu), but does not apply to Throws.
      • While Gaara cannot block straight Paper Bombs if he is in a neutral state, he can do so by walking backwards.
    • Strong Attack adopts the properties of ChargeStrong Attack.
    • Gaara gains access to a counter super that costs 50% Chakra and is only possible while in grounded blockstun.
Visual example of how strong Gaara's defenses get once he reaches LNP.
Other
  • Gaara's (behind obstacle) Weak Attack and Strong Attack are unique versions of his ForwardWeak Attack and RunStrong Attack respectively.
    • The version of ForwardWeak Attack causes the opponent to turn around on hit.
    • The version of RunStrong Attack is a multi-hit attack.

At close enough range, Gaara can link DownWeak AttackStrong AttackStrong Attack repeatedly for big damage, and adding a Paper Bomb throw after every 2-3 reps turns this loop into an infinite that can only be escaped with KnJ, yet he can punish KnJs heavily and reset back into the combo.
