Introduction

Veteran (real name Frank Adams) represents Australia in Neo Turf Masters. Known for his amazing recovery, low shot, poor distance, great hat and beautiful moustache, Veteran is a character well suited for all skills of players. His on-paper stats may seem poor but a by-product of his amazing recovery allows him to take advantage of the rough almost as if it was the fairway, allowing him to take some unique routes through holes.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:

• Poor distance makes many Par 5s impossible to Eagle-putt that are simple for other golfers.
• Low shot and distance forces him to respect course design (trees, bunkers, etc)
• Terrible putting

Strategy

Approaching

You are going to have to get used to approaching using a wood without using spins, as Veteran's distance is not great enough on many holes to allow him to use an iron. Keep a watchful eye for obstacles in between you and the green, as Veterans low height and the shorter carry distance woods give you will force you to consider off-green bounces during your approach.

Putting

Putting is easily Veteran's worst part of his game. Those fat putt bars send a lot of players running away from Veteran. Unlike other characters, when putting uphill or against the grain you will generally want to avoid putting over the indicated power the game gives you.
