A descendant of the miko (a family of exorcists that have had some dealings with Phantom in the past). She fights with Kahoutou, her naginata, to stop the duels.

Overview

Just Like Mikoto, Waka is another well-rounded character sporting the traditional shoto style toolset, however,Waka tool are better suited for rush down than her Footsie counterpart Mikoto. When compared to the rest of the cast, Waka's combo game is phenomenal. Whether it be an otg, throw, or ar reversal dragon punch, waka can confirm any hit into a full combo. Her mobility is on the slow side and struggles against zoning. Waka biggest fault has to be her low damage output. Ironically while waka builds meter quickly at a net negative when she uses meter, for an option like EX DP and phantom breaker give a lot of meter to the opponent.


Style

Extra: Waka's meter build lets her use extra style mechanics more liberally. offensively waka meter usage should focus on slip shift cancel and overdrive while using Ex sparingly. Lacking a NA make her defensively weak so she'll need to use Overdrive often to make up for a mistake or abuse it invincibility startup. Reflection is great compliment to waka already strong guard crush game.

Hard:: With Waka's near-zero ability to deal with zoning and inability to cover ground exasperated by shorter dash, H-Waka is literally a Hard sale. But H-Waka is not with outs its merits, she can do some gimmicky and Hard phantom breaker is one of the better ones. H-Waka can do some damage with Set Burst. H-NA doesn't vastly improve her defense game but she not prone to frame tight pressure or AUB if nothing else.

Quick:Waka meter gain is improved tenfold where single confirm into dp loop can net her 190% of meter. But using her Phantom Breaker is not do to it doing pitiful damage and how it generally net the opponent 1 & 3/4 to use. While having NA is handy Q-Waka is generally inferior to E-Waka.
