Character Info

Akira was a peasant child that was adopted by Kyo after being impressed by his fighting spirit. In an attempt to overcome his limitations, Akira purposefully blinded himself and later joined the Shiseiten (The Four Emperors - A group of the four most powerful samurai, Akira, Akari, Hotaru and Bontenmaru) lead by Kyo himself. They conquered every nation in Japan together, however, their reign was abruptly ended by Kyo's departure. Being Kyo's most loyal ally, Akira felt betrayed and deeply heartborken by this, scheming his way through multiple clans in order to find Kyo's true body and manipulate his way into finding out why Kyo left the Shiseiten. Even encasing Kyo's body in a vault of magical ice so Kyo (In Kyoshiro's body) can be at his mercy while they settle their ordeals. His kind-hearted and clumsy nature is merely a facade. He is a clever stone-cold killer.

Akira in Samurai Deeper Kyo, for lack of a better phrase, is a essentially a shoto with an install mechanic. He is technically decent at every core aspect of a fighter in more complicated ways than a regular shoto would be but can get his attacks and options improved upon by use of a vulnerable install. His gameplan mostly revolves around using icicle projectile frame traps and jump-cancels up-close to keep up pressure, and when fullscreen using his multiple projectiles and far reaching attacks to defend his horizontal space and get knockdowns so he can safely enable his Ice Dance Install and gain safer ways to approach.

Has extremely good pokes. An overhead air projectile that basically does all of the neutral work for him. Has great air options including a JS that loves to crossup. Has an airborne Hiougi. A projectile that gives him low invul temporarily.	Projectile can be easily crouched. AA options are limited and his best DP is locked behind a vulnerable attack. requires install to access better approaching options.
