Introduction

The claw user is named Vega in all versions of the game, due to the movie using Capcom USA's character name changes in the Japanese dub.

This move is briefly full body invincible after startup, which allows it to anti-air some light attacks. It also has full body projectile invincibility throughout the animation and for as long as Vega keeps blocking or walking, including switching between stand blocking and crouch blocking. It ends when he is hit by any move other than a projectile, or when he enters standing state (stops blocking or walking).

Vega's famous wall leap into claw slash that crosses up randomly and makes everyone angry. With the regular input Vega will always jump backwards to leap off of "his" wall, but if you finish the charge motion with uf he'll leap to the other wall.

A throw followup to replace the claw slash. If you do the input when you aren't in the proper position you'll get an option select with the claw slash though, so don't worry about it.

Vega leaps off the wall and flies horizontally for a slash. With the regular input Vega will always jump backwards to leap off of "his" wall, but if you finish the charge motion with uf he'll leap to the other wall. This can crossup.

This move doesn't knock down or do any damage for some reason. It's been theorized that it does a ton of stun but that needs to be tested. You probably don't want to use this move.

Mask/Claw Throw

Doing this move with LP will throw the mask and HK will throw the claw. These are projectiles with hitboxes and can be reflected by characters such as Zangief or Balrog. Oddly, losing his claw will not affect Vega's reach or damage. Also, if a maskless Vega gets hit in the face, it will still make a metal clanging sound. Hang on, it gets weirder. The mask/claw can be collected from the ground with Rolling Crystal Flash. However if they are reflected they become the property of the opponent who reflected it, so they cannot be reclaimed. In a tag team match, Vega will automatically regain his mask and claw if he KOs his opponent, but any parts on the floor will remain. If the opponent’s next character is Vega, he can collect reflected parts with Rolling Crystal Flash, but if he is already wearing these, collecting extra parts will have no effect.
