Introduction
xSSBC_MrGameAndWatch_Stock.png Mr. Game & Watch (Game & Watch) is a recurring character that appears in the long line of Game & Watch handheld consoles from 1980 to 1991. Each console held only one game, and each one used LCD display, using static images that lit up separately to emulate movement. Mr. Game & Watch's first release was the playable character in the Game & Watch console "Ball" in 1980.
The Game & Watch series included games such as "Ball", "Judge", "Fire", "Manhole", "Lion", and "Octopus"; the series later released licensed products, such as "Mickey Mouse", "Donkey Kong", "Popeye" and "Super Mario Bros." a handful of these games would later be released on the GameBoy family of consoles over time, in the series "Game & Watch Gallery". This series included the classic takes on the games, as well as modernized revisions, usually involving characters from the Super Mario series.
The Game & Watch was reintroduced from 2020 to 2021, only releasing two consoles; one of them is a 35th anniversary re-release of Super Mario Bros. (which includes "Super Mario Bros.", "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels" and Game & Watch classic "Ball" with a Mario reskin), and the other is a 35th anniversary re-release of The Legend of Zelda (which includes "The Legend of Zelda", "The Legend of Zelda II", "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" and Game & Watch classic "Vermin" with a Link reskin)
