Introduction
xSSBC_Yoshi_Stock.png Yoshi (ヨッシー) is the name of both the character and his species that debuted in Super Mario World as a companion to xSSBC_Mario_Stock.png Mario & xSSBC_Luigi_Stock.png Luigi before gaining it's own series, Yoshi's Island, which is represented in Smash as Yoshi's home series. In that game, Yoshis try to help reunite Baby Mario with Baby Luigi after a stork had been attacked by Toadies. Yoshis are capable of eating just about anything, but they especially love fruits. Some fruit even grant them special abilities...

Trivia
- Yoshi used Mario Party 8 artwork in earlier builds in 0.8. This was shared with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario and Waluigi.
- It was considered at a point in development that there was meant to be a form without a DJC (Double Jump Cancel). It was scrapped for unknown reasons.
