sandboxes

how to screenshot moves for: En-Eins Perfektwelt

files

  • cheat engine (make sure to avoid all the bloatware in the install)
  • texmod/umod dont install this in the en eins folder
  • jconfig version of en-eins (search jconfig in the ABK discord and youll find it probably, teknoparrot has bad resolution and scaling)
  • cheat table thank you mibeador for finding the camera values

setup

Open up uMod and click Main > Start Game through uMod, and launch En-Eins' game.exe. Once the game is loaded set the back/next/save keybinds, make sure not to overlap them with jconfig's keybinds.

On uMod, make sure ONLY these are enabled

  • Save single texture
  • Message in top left corner (optional)
  • PNG

Set a save directory btw

Now launch cheat engine and open the EN1PW process and load cheat table. Enable training mode for ease of use, then scroll down the address list and set Horizontal Zoom to 510 and Vertical Zoom to 310. Also set the freeze interval (found in settings underneath the cheat engine logo) to something low if you can, I have it at 1ms.

getting the damn moves

I'd recommend having 1p or 2p use Kanzen Sekai > Kanzen Shinsatsu so that one of the meter bars vanish. Keep the other one to record EX moves. Press your next(uMOD) keybind until the background turns green. Should be normal texture: 2.

THE BACKGROUND TEXTURE WILL REFRESH. To fix this, just press back(uMod) and next(uMod) until it turns green again. It's a major annoyance but just how this game's emulation works unfortunately.

Now get your En-Eins characters in position and take your screenshot.

optional: making characters invisible / changing palettes

For moves such as 5AAA or 5BBB, you can make characters invisible or switch palettes, the latter is helpful if you want to record EX moves but your 2P has a non-default palette

Nagivate textures through uMod until both characters turn green. Press your save keybind. You'll find a PNG file of the color palettes in lines. P1 and P2 have separate lines dependent on character Use your image editing software of choice to make changes as you please and save WITH THE SAME FILE NAME. Making lines invisible will make the corresponding palette invisible as well.

To load the texture, right click the empty space on the bottom half of uMod and clickOpen texture/package. Navigate to your edited image and load it. Don't mind the annoying message telling you to load through a different method, it's bad and a remnant from the previous buggy version.

If you want to unload your texture, right click the new entry and remove single textures and click Remove Package, then right click the now empty bottom half of uMod and click Refresh. IF YOU'RE TRYING TO REPLACE A MODDED TEXTURE, DO THIS BEFORE HAND IF YOU WANT TO AVOID A LIKELY CRASH.

btw we can't do this with the background or ui since those keep changing addresses
