- Weaponry
As her own special mechanic, Tenten can pull out one of 5 weapons and employ it in battle. These weapons can be considered as "mini-stances", as they shift Tenten's idle stance and replace her commands while out. Tenten can summon a weapon even when wielding another one, but will drop any weapon equipped upon getting hit or undergoing a Guard Break.
The weapons Tenten can employ are the following:
- Short Sword: summoned with , this weapon allows Tenten to perform quick swipes. Tenten's idle stance with this weapon has her very low to the ground, allowing her to dodge many attacks.
- Twin Sabres: summoned with , these weapons deal damage while being equipped. Each Sabre has hitboxes of their own, allowing Tenten to hit opponents behind her.
- Staff: summoned with , Tenten twirls this weapon to attack opponents. Although not reliably, it is also capable of destroying some projectiles during its twirl.
- Naginata: summoned with , this weapon has large horizontal range and deals heavy guard damage. As with the Twin Sabres, Tenten attacks while equipping the weapon; subsequent attacks change depending on when Tenten presses .
- Greatsword: summoned with , this weapon is by far her slowest; however, it easily destroys the opponent's Guard Gauge. In return, Tenten's own Guard Gauge becomes so brittle that the opponent can easily break it.
Tenten can throw her current weapon as an unreflectable projectile with either or . Each thrown weapon will behave differently depending on how it was thrown away.
