Profile

Queen, as the name implies, is the demon queen of the underworld. She's typically lazy and pushy, caring more about her entertainment than her job.

Overview

Queen is a high-execution all-or nothing combo monster who uses her special Demon cancel mechanic to string together extremely lengthy combos and pressure. Her average damage is some of the highest in the game, and her Devil Cancel allows her to easily make any move safe. Her Overdrive super is one of the best in the game, giving her infinite access to her Demon Cancels. Although Queen has fantastic loops that deal large amounts of damage, it is often required to have a full cancel meter to start them risk-free, as attempting to use cancels without enough meter puts you into a long whiff animation. Combined with the high scaling she racks up, her high execution, and overall bad normals, this makes queen a very difficult high risk, high reward character.

Recommended Builds

Queen benefits significantly from extra damage(particularly poison), movement, and fullscreen control.

Queen launches herself high into the air at a steep angle. Canceling this with Devil cancel is very useful as it is her key way to start juggles on a grounded opponent.

Queen shoots a small, short range projectile. This is her only air move that doesn't alter her momentum, so it is used quite often.

GOD NORMAL. two hits, big hitbox, stops your air movement, this button does it all. j.B can be looped into itself many times on an airborne aooponent. Because this stops your air momentum in all directions, this move can be used as an instant overhead and for oki without any commitment, and it is essentially no different from using ground buttons. FANTASTIC move.

queen does an attack while moving forward through the air. Can cross up and is quite a good button for pressure and movement, but reward on hit is nonexistent thanks to knockdown.

Standard grab. you can Devil Cancel this to leave opponent in air for follow up combo, but unless you have full mana and cancel, you won't get much damage off it. Most of the time, it's better to keep the oki.

The cornerstone of Queen's gameplan, Devil cancel allows queen to cancel any of her moves back into a neutral state, allowing for combo and pressure routes that would not be possible otherwise. Using this move consumes half of her special devil meter. trying to use this without enough meter puts you in a lengthy whiff animation that will get you killed.(it will still cancel the current action, however.)

Projectile, but has horrendously long recovery unless Devil Canceled making it somewhat useless. Becomes a decent long range option in Overdrive, but at that point you shouldn't be fullscreen anyways.

Allows Queen to use her Devil Cancels however much she wants without needing cancel gauge first. Upon activation, turns Queen's cancel meter into a timer. when it runs out, her hp starts draining rather quickly. Hp drain will not kill you.

Combos

Queen has two main combo routes, depending on if the opponent is grounded or not.

Her main bnb for grounded opponents is ABCABC>6SS>5S. This simple loop gains just enough cancel meter to loop into itself 5 or 6 times. The starting ABCABC link requires you to be quite close to the opponent for it to connect, so you may use 6SS>5S as a hitconfirm.

Her main loop for airial opponents is 5M>5S>JBBBBB>5M. This requires much more correction and adjustment than the ground loop, but also has much more payoff.
