Punch Planet is a 2.5D 6-button fighting game developed by Sector-K Games. It has a mix of elements from an array of fighters, but plays very closely to Capcom games such as Street Fighter: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter IV. Features include a simple Arcade Mode, Versus, Online GGPO-based lobby system, and an extremely robust training mode. There are currently 8 characters, with 2 more expected to be released. The game is in early access, with the latest patch being 0.7.7 released on February 11th, 2023. You can find Punch Planet on Steam. It was formerly available on Apple Arcade, but has been discontinued there.
Story
Roy, an undercover Detective for the Luna PD is caught up in a galactic conspiracy. Framed for a high profile murder, he must follow his only lead to Planet K-0. Known to many as Punch Planet, it is the central hub for the evil scum of the Universe. There, he will have to track down the real murderer and bring them back to his home world in an attempt to clear his name.
