Introduction
Omen of Sorrow is a horror themed 6-button fighting game made by AOne Games. It has 4 normal attack buttons (2 punches and 2 kicks), a throw button, and the unique "EX" button. The game features 12 playable characters (as of November 2023), rollback netcode, and crossplay.

Arctorious
Arctorious has 4 stances and a unique resource that will be referred to as "stacks". Some of Arctorious' moves grant him stacks, of which he can store up to 2. While possessing stacks, Arctorious gains a slight increase in damage and hitstun, and his next 236A, forward throw, or ]A/B/C/D[ will have enhanced properties in exchange for consuming a stack.
Normals
- 5A~[X] - Holding A/B/C/D enters their respective stance after.
- 5B - SPECIAL CANCELLABLE HOLY SHIT USE
- 5C~[X] - SLOW AS SHIT. Special cancellable. Holding A/B/C/D enters their respective stance after. Links into 5B
- 5D~[X] - SLOW AS SHIT. Special cancellable. Holding A/B/C/D enters their respective stance after.
- 2A - DOESN'T HIT LOW
- 2B - DOESN'T HIT LOW
- 2C - Anti-air. Enters B stance after.
- 2D - Long range sweep. Hits low, finally...
- jA - Very long air-to-air. Whiffs on crouchers.
- j7/9B - 2 hit button that crosses up. Very huge and easy to combo out of. Whiffs on crouchers.
- j8B - Stupid little kick who cares. Whiffs on crouchers.
- j7/9C - Disjointed jump-in. Hits crouchers.
- j8C - Big and fast swing that knocks down. Whiffs on crouchers.
- jD - Sword slash with either a deceptively small hitbox or deceptively little active frames. Whiffs on crouchers.
Dashing Normals
Note: Arctorious cannot use his dashing normals during the "step" part of his dash, they only become available once he begins properly running.
- 66A - Despite Arc visually swinging his sword a bunch, this move has no hitbox and is actually a counter. If Arc is attacked (even by a projectile), the opponent will be frozen briefly and Arc can pass through them. A punish is not guaranteed.
- 66B - Multihit low that enters B stance after. Cannot be Bold Cancelled into stances.
- 66C - Launching overhead.
- 66D - Giant jump straight up making wall of sword. Not even Bold Cancellable since it is airborne. Enters D stance after.
Command Normals
- 4A - Short punch with no forward movement. Can combo into itself. Not special cancellable.
- 6B~[X] - Advancing kick. Cannot be linked out of or special cancelled. Holding A/B/C/D enters their respective stance after.
- 4[C] - Low sword thrust if C is held. If C is tapped then the move is a counter that grants Arctorious a stack on success.
- 4[D] - Around-the-world launching sword swing if D is held. If D is tapped then the move is a counter that grants Arctorious a stack on success.

- 6T - Arctorious breathes fire on the opponent. Damage is significantly increased with stacks, but consumes 1 on hit.
Universal Mechanics
Retreat
- [EX]44 - Adds Fate, putting you closer to Doomed.
Bold Counter
- (With Fate) [EX]44~6EX - Two-hit lunging attack. Active frames stop around 60% of the way through the dash. The second hit is unblockable.
Blessed
- (With Fortune) EX EX - Install that drains Fortune and lasts until it empties. Everything cancels to everything during this time.
Special Moves
Stance Change
- 22A/B/C/D - Enter one of four stances, dependent on the button used. Can walk and block during stances however super moves, dashing, and 236EX are not possible. Can only exit stances by jumping, using a special move, throwing, or being knocked down, attacking maintains the stance unless specified otherwise. Stance moves are detailed below.
Sword of the Fae
- 236A - Straight slash with slightly less range than the fire effect would suggest. Soft knockdown. If Arctorious has stacks, he will consume one to improve the range a bit.
- 236C - Anti-air slash with tiny hitbox. Soft knockdown.
- 236EX - EXCALIBUR! Arc zips across the whole screen and does a lot of damage. Really good at punishing stuff and can be comboed from. Can go through projectiles. Can be Bold Cancelled if Arctorious has a stack. Becomes unblockable with 2 stacks.
Sword of the Coward
- 214A/C - Projectile absorber that lasts as long as the button is held. Upon successfully absorbing a projectile, stores a stack. Absorbs all of Thallessa's normals except for her 2B. Has noticeable recovery.
- 214EX - Cannot be held like the normal version, when triggered Arctorious lunges forward with a counterattack while also gaining 2 stacks.
- 214C (during stance) - Cannot be held. Needs to be investigated.
Sword of the Swift
- 236B - 3 hit combo filler that is quite good as it can be comboed into from 5B. Soft knockdown.
- 236D - 4 hit combo filler. Soft knockdown.
Will of the Fae
- ]A/B/C/D[ - Negative edge fireball. Very long charge time but quick animation on release. Fireballs spawn at different locations depending on the button used, stay still and dissipate quickly. A is the closest, D is the farthest. When improved by stacks, the fireball will hit 3 times.
- ]EX[ - Creates two fireballs which sprial around Arctorious. Cannot be improved by stacks.
A Stance
- A - Lunging thrust that enters B stance.
- B - Counters mids and overheads. On trigger, briefly freezes the opponent and builds one stack instead of counterattacking.
- C - Slow overhead. Soft knockdown.
- D - Special cancellable lunge that can go through projectiles.
B Stance
- A - Somewhat fast multihit attack that can be special cancelled.
- B - Command dash.
- C - Low stab that is good at hitting OTG.
- D - Similar to 4D but faster.
C Stance
- A - Anti-air poke that misses crouchers.
- B - Very slow command dash that can (unreliably) go through projectiles.
- C - Similar to 2D but faster. Enters D stance.
- D - Overhead that enters B stance.
D Stance
- A - Short shoulder attack that soft knockdowns.
- B - Counters mids and lows. On trigger, briefly freezes the opponent and builds one stack instead of counterattacking.
- C~[X] - Similar to 4D again but holding A/B/C/D enters the respective stance after. Special cancellable and can OTG.
- D - Lunging launcher that can go through projectiles and enters A stance.
Super Moves
Army of Camlaan
- 236236P - Calls an army forward, which is functionally a barrage of projectiles. Super slow to start coming out, originates from the edge of the screen behind Arctorious instead of where he is standing, and ends if Arc is hit. If they somehow don't block it you can follow up during the charge. Note that opponents are airborne while getting hit and the projectiles will NOT juggle.
Knights of Avalon
- 214214P - An invincible reversal with absolutely pathetic range. Leads into a cinematic on hit.
Combos
22B~A / (jB) 5B > 236B (> 236D(3)) - Bold cancelled 236D drops the last hit.
Bold Counter, 22B~C,C
236EX 22B~(BxN~)C(OTG) EXEX(Blessed) [5C>5B]xN - Use 22B~B as needed to get close. Can still get two OTG 22B~C's without Blessed.
(2 stacks) 5C, 5C x N - Infinite. Do not mash C or else Arc will transition to C stance.
