The best movement in the game. A very strong 41 step and small hurt-boxes make her whiff punishing very strong. Her punishing on block is pretty weak, her damage is pretty low, but she is one of the only characters with mid>mid options, including one coming out of her P string. her 2k+g is arguably one of the best moves in the game, it's a fast sweep which on block also leaves her in a position that's a little bit tricky to punish, it also doesn't have as many recovery frames as other sweeps which makes it hard to whiff punish. She has very strong okizeme, she can both knockdown and low throw low wake up kicks. She's got high/mid/low reversals and is the only character with insashi's, which completely switch the position of you and your opponent. She can get a guaranteed ground throw off of her reversals that leave her opponent face up, as well as some of her throws(including her low throw). She's a very versatile character with a plethora of options where you can really dictate how to play her. She's not a beginner friendly character, but learning how to play her properly will really help you get in tune with the game.

Storyline

The eldest daughter of an old, established, renowned Kyoto family Dojo, Aoi has had aikido and Judo drummed into her since childhood. Since her father and Akira's father were old friends, Aoi and Akira often trained together as children.

Aoi's father learned of the World Tournament through Akira. Once Aoi heard about the tournament and Akira's participation, she became very interested in entering. In order to gauge her own skills and ability, Aoi's challenge is about to start.
