An adaptation of a veteran fighter from Super Smash Flash 2.

Donkey Kong keeps his playstyle and game feel mostly intact, while having changes to accommodate for the differences between Super Smash Flash 2 and Fraymakers

Moveset Notes

  • Most moves "on-shield" are listed as their first active frame, while aerials are listed as their best frame advantage
  • All throws are invincible until after the hit lands
  • Jab: Jab 1 always resets and has a 6x shield stun multiplier
  • Forward Tilt: Has a strong early hit, which can hit ledge, has slightly more knockback, and a 3x shield stun multiplier
  • Up Tilt: Has a 3x shield stun multiplier on its last two active frames
  • Dash Attack: Can be jump-canceled if it rolls off a surface, signified by after images
  • Forward Strong: Can clank with projectiles
  • Up Strong: Steps backwards
  • Down Air: Has a 3x shield stun multiplier
  • Neutral Special: Each charge increases damage by 2%, full charge gains armor on F15-F22. The shoulder hit has a 3x shield stun multiplier
  • Side Special: Stalls in the air, has armor on F13-F16. Bury lasts for one second; a proper bury state does not exist in Fraymakers, as such the bury functions as a stun, buried opponents cannot be hit with Down Special but can be grabbed.
  • Up Special: Has armor on F5-F9. Launcher has a 15x shield stun multiplier. Only effects speed if Donkey Kong's current speed is at or lower than what it would give, allowing for extra height to be gained from use right after jumping
  • Down Special: Can be canceled after the first slam, its hitbox is smaller for its first three active frames. Only hits grounded.
  • Cargo: Releasing an opponent deals 4%

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Strong Punish Game: Benefits greatly from an opponent's mistakes, often taking stocks in very few interactions
  • High Damage Output: Almost all of Donkey Kong's attacks deal damage in the double digits, racking up percent quickly
  • Great Range: Many attacks are fairly large, cover a lot of space and can serve as great poking tools
  • Decent Mobility: While Donkey Kong is large and weighty, his speed isn't held back as is usual for heavies
  • Poor Disadvantage: Donkey Kong's large size, heavy weight, and high gravity cause him to be easy combo food for most characters
  • Projectile Fodder: Does not have consistent ways of getting in against zoners, due to a lack of anti-projectile options
  • Exploitable Recovery: Up Special; While hard to contest, does not cover much vertical distance
