What Is This Game?

Super Sidekicks 2/3 is a Neo Geo Sports Game that surrounds football. It's an incredibly fun game that anyone can pick up and play.

Is There A Community?

Unfortunately the English speaking community is very small and as a result isn't a publicised community. The playerbase on FightCade is small but dedicated, however.

How is the balancing in these games?

To tell you the truth, not super balanced at a competitive level, but casual play will always be a lot more balanced because of players generally not knowing the advanced techniques for this game.

Tier Lists

The English Speaking Community are the only community that actively has discussions around the strength of these games, as a result, the only tier lists that exist are of the English speaking community.

Super Sidekicks 2 (Anubis' Tier List, 2023)

Surprisingly? even though Colombia is a very clear #1 team in this game, the advanced tech that Super Sidekicks 2 has allows most teams to compete against the top tiers, hence the very densely populated A tier. B tier is mostly playing amongst themselves but might be able to compete against A tier teams. As a result of the S and S+ tier teams however, the B tier teams are likely to be fully gatekept out of competitive play. C is effectively just not worth looking into unless you love those countries.

Super Sidekicks 3 (Anubis and Eastwood's Tier List, 2023)

The teams in Super Sidekicks 3 are rather diverse in ability but there’s a clear cut meta that exists in this game. However, Depending on who you ask, you’ll probably get a different answer on how someone feels about the lower end of the meta.

Anubis’s perspective: The only teams in this game that are viable at competitive play are teams in A tier or above. The tiers below can play amongst themselves but will not be viable as a result of how strong the best teams are.

Eastwood’s perspective: To me, all teams that are in A tier or above are strong. B tier teams are in this weird middle ground of being rather competitive but falling short due to other teams doing what they do, but better. There are some exceptions (like Canada, USA, Japan) who seem pretty okay. C tier and below are not worth looking into, D tier teams are there namely due to their lack of speed.
