General notes:

  • Koha jump startup is 5f, Hisui's is 4f
  • 22D (Maid Swap) can be cancelled into off normals
  • Koha 2B+C (Cactus) 1st hit is Overhead
  • Koha 214C (Hisui jC assist) is Overhead. It is +1 on block (at worst)
  • Hisui 214C (Koha jC assist) is NOT an Overhead. However it is 2 hits so good for pressure/lockdown. Also is +18 on block (at worst)
  • Koha 236A is a low
  • Koha 236[A] is a feint, rather than an Overhead as it was in AACC
  • Koha 214B (Hisui 5C assist) is solid for pressure. Catches jumpouts very well. It's -2 on block at worst so it's safe
  • All of Koha's Battou slashes are air unblockable. 6B+C is great for catching jumps and confirming into 236C for solid dmg and knockdown for oki
  • Koha 214A (Hisui 5B assist) wallsplats
  • Koha 236C enders all allow for plant set oki
  • Koha 236C can be cancelled into Arc Drive to cash out on all meter (requires Awaken ofc for 4 bars)
  • Koha 236C can be cancelled with Moon Drive to allow further conversions if you need to kill to win the match and the resource spending is worthwhile.
  • Koha 6C seems to be a good button to cancel into assist calls
  • Koha 6C does not chain into other normals, cannot be rebeated after. Using 236[A] feint gives you a way to pseudo-cancel back into normals, works best if you've threatened the opponent with Battou slashes/Hisui assists/other specials after 6C already
  • Koha 236B+C (Arc Drive) is only unblockable if charged. Charged version will not hit aerial opponents, however. Normal version is Air Unblockable
  • Hisui 236B+C (Arc Drive) is safe(?) on block but no longer + as it was in AACC. Charged version seems to be 0 on block (tested vs CIel reversal 5A after blocking. Hisui 5A traded). Normal and Charged versions are both Air Unblockable
  • Hisui wakeup Moon Drive > 6B+C is a strong wakeup option as Moon Skill Ladle gives full conversion on hit
  • Koha j[C] can clash even before the hitbox is active while charging. This makes it a very strong move to contest as the actual hitbox will still come out after the clash
  • Hisui j236C enders allow for Bento or 214B(plant set assist) oki
  • Koha plants will disappear if Koha is hit as lead, however Hisui 214B (plant assist) will not leave even is Hisui is hit
  • Hisui 22C will stay out when Kohaku becomes point, and will not dissipate even if Kohaku is hit. Lasts for about 10s. Very strong application as the space denial is huge and can often lead to your opponent's combos being ruined should you play near it
  • Hisui 4[B] is unblockable and will soft kd (opp can tech the kd)
  • Hisui 4B interacts with Koha punch plant (Koha 22B/Hisui 214B) and will grow it into a large tree that run towards the opponent and dash 3 times in the opponents initial direction (can move past them and whiff). Each dash has a collision hitbox once it comes in contact with opponent. Big Tree stays out even if you switch point back to Koha
  • Koha j4B+C (Moon Skill missile drop) is jump cancellable after the 2 missiles are dropped. Other versions (j214x) cannot be jump cancelled
  • Hisui 22A/B (Bento) counts as a light starter. Route accordingly
  • Hisui jB~j2B followup is a mid
  • Hisui j2C is a mid
  • Hisui j236x are mids but when TK'd is +
  • Hisui 623C in a blockstring can be useful for tagswaps

  • The Maids wiki page has been updated to have more optimized routing than most of what's here (mainly for Kohaku lead; Hisui lead combos are WIP), please check it out to maximize your damage further. This is a separate resource to list more combos to help understand further combo theory so you can lab on your own easier. Check out the Misc Videos section for various tech to help improve your gameplan and knowledge as well.

KOHA LEAD:

  • For all midscreen routes listed, replace 2C 236B after 5B with 6C 236A for 236C to connect closer which allows for more time for setups. Slightly less damage (check first two 2A routes for comparison)
  • Sandwich routing sacrifices corner carry for much more consistent tag setup capability midscreen as Hisui will be directly next to you at the end of the combo so there is no lag on 22D from her having to run to Koha before performing the swap
  • Everything listed as 236x~A can also be performed as 236x~B
  • general rule for Koha routes if you end close enough to corner, do 2CC instead of 2C before battou slashes ender for extra dmg
  • All routes besides sandwich routes are doable for solo Koha too (check bottom of this section for a solo Koha combo vid that optimizes dmg on some of these routes as well)

*UNBLOCKABLE SETUPS:

  • - Utilizing 22C for a knockdown that gives you time to position Kohaku and Hisui at proper spacings, Kohaku lead has access to unblockable setups with 214C(Hisui's Overhead Table Assist) in conjunction with 2A/236A/other lows (causing a high and a low to hit meaty simultaneously)
  • - These setups are very new and haven't be meticulously labbed against, so be aware there might be more counterplay to these than it seems at first glance. The damage of these is a sacrifice compared to what Kohaku can generally output in exchange for setting up the unblockable to 'guarantee' another conversion opportunity. They also require the use of meter, so be wary of overutilizing them when your resources are lower to avoid losing access to Kohaku's 236C enders. If you mess up, you could leave yourself in a lackluster situation and give the opponent a chance to swing the round back in their favor if you don't choose how to spend meter wisely
