Overview
What Shun lacks in throw options and damage, he makes up for in having knockdown tools with strong oki-zeme, and evasive commands which you can use in combination with pokes to chip away at your opponents health.
Key Techniques
- PP(1KK)(P) - Since Shun's Jab is well worse than average, you can instead rely on PP, which has an ex mid follow up PPP, and a low knockdown follow-up PP1KK at 6DP. Mix between these options to pressure opponents.
- 2K - Fast high crushing low which also crushes certain middle attacks. Use this move often at disadvantage to avoid your opponents main mid/throw mix-up.
- 3K - 15f middle kick. knocks down into a guaranteed down attack on counter hit.
- 236P(4P) - Ex-mid launcher. Has a follow-up high punch.
- 8K - 14f middle kick. short range and punishable on block, but knocks down into a combo on normal hit.
- 7EP - Evasive back-sway command into a retreating punch which launches on counter hit.
- P+K(K) - Shun's fastest mid attack at 13f, doesn't do much damage but has a kick follow-up.
- 43P - 16f mid launcher.
- 2_3P - Long range mid knockdown which guarantees a down attack.
Throws
- 3P+G - Evade towards your opponents back for a guaranteed back throw for +5 DP. Follow up on 3P+G with 236P for a full combo.
- P+G - +5 DP.
- 4P+G - +5DP if your opponents back is to the wall.
