Introduction


Daisuke Sato is a great character for players who usually opt for characters that can play in mid range due to their considerably good buttons. His 5.HP and 2.LP are arguably some of the best moves in the game'. Daisuke also has great responses in neutral, such as 236LK+HK and 236HP~6HP that work very well against zoning. But not all of Daisuke's options are safe, as none of his buttons are positive and he doesn't have anything like that in relation to his elemental moves. The character does not have a very good reversal using his elementals, so he only depends on his super (Mil Cortes), which can be very bad in some situations.

Daisuke was a man who put his duty above all else, but after failing, he saw himself as a dishonor with no place in the world. Filled with negative feelings, he is sure that he will only redeem himself when he takes revenge, but doesn't realize how he is leaving behind the things that really matter.


Strengths Weaknesses
  • 2HP is this character's strongest feature, being hard to punish for most characters on block, easy to hit confirm from, is a strong antiair, a fast poke, your primary combo starter... you name it, it does it.
  • 5HP has the same startup as 2HP at 5f, while boasting great range and is cancelable into all specials and 66HP, allowing for conversion into damage.
  • Able to convert at any range he hits with 66HP.
  • Qcf+KK is literally lightning fast, travels almost full screen, and puts the opponent in a stun state for a combo.
  • Overall dominates neutral.
  • Has lower than average damage across the board, with heavy attacks that deal the same damage as other characters' light attacks.
  • Many of his strings can be interrupted, with Qcb+HP not even being a natural block string.
  • Qcb,Qcf+K is a dysfunctional and redundant super.
  • Reliant on elemental bar to convert into reasonable damage off of most hits.
  • All of his Elemental attacks are invulnerable until the frame before the active frames, making them generally bad reversals, only capable of beating meaties with low active frames.

The button every character wished they had. Does everything. Blockstun is bugged in two ways. Firstly, the frame advantage display ingame is wrong for it, as it reads -31. Secondly it shares a bug with a few other attacks where the opponent seems to be put in a proximity block state afterwards preventing movement, only allowing attacks.
