Jstadrdaro.png Dr. Daro is a dynamic combo beast whose tricks ensure he's never in a fair fight.
Strengths Weaknesses
  • Vital Point Striker: Daro deals incredibly high damage both in combos and neutral. He is often capable of killing opponents in one or two launchers/throws and his pokes are no less threatening.

  • Chi Master: All of Daro's projectile attacks are incredible in their own ways. 214P is a strong offensive deterrent and OTG, 66P+K+G is one of the most powerful supers in the entire game, and 236P is a ridiculous tool that opens up opponents for free with proper use.

  • Dirty Cheater: Daro's gimmicks range from minor nuisances to massive threats. His unique wakeup options make him dangerous even while knocked down, both of his command grabs give full combos, one of which cannot be escaped, and his unblockable projectile can also lead into a launch. Most of his approaching offense is also outright immune to grounded atemi. Daro forces the opponent to play his game, no matter what situation you put him in.

  • Axis Woes: Daro's only true flaw is his linear offense. His most dangerous tools can be evaded and punished aptly through proper use of sidestepping.

Yellow guard break. A somersaulting kick ender that launches the opponent. Pretty quick so lots of utility on this move. You cannot atemi this.

Daro throws a green energy ball at the ground, upon landing it explodes and bounces backwards. Only has a hitbox on the returning portion of the attack, and will not hit point blank. This attack is unblockable. Can be used for basically anything, will combo into Sidestep P for an unblockable launch, can set up Daro's command grabs for high damage combos, and is fantastic for general lockdown and okizeme.

A more traditional grounded projectile. Hits low but recovers too slow to set up unblockables. Decent for keepaway, great at OTGs, and amazing at timerscamming. Be wary of jump-ins when using this against standing opponents.

Yellow guard break. A spiraling dive attack. Incredibly high range mid, will hit from anywhere on the screen. Launches the opponent extremely high during juggles. If performed without the followup, Daro will be left in a face-down grounded state. You cannot atemi this.

Yellow guard break. Big arcing middle kick ender. On hit, launches the opponent and allows for a 1KK. Guard break gives a guaranteed 6PP, and places the opponent at a good distance to set up a 236P. Watch out for sidesteps when using this string.

Daro performs a delayed recovery in a headstand bridge position. Ducks a number of attacks during the animation, can help to avoid punishes if the opponent sidesteps the final kick.
