Trivia

  • Newgrounds Rumble was infamous for having fake leaks such as fake leaks of Newgrounds Rumble characters being added, a hoax announcement of Newgrounds Rumble 2, and fake leaks the dev posted to troll people.
    • Master Chief, Cloud Strife, Mario (either actual Mario or Super Mario Bros. Z), Optimus Prime, and Tom Fulp are the most popular fake leak characters due to people wanting them in Newgrounds Rumble despite not being Newgrounds characters.
  • Yuri Kadry posted a hoax announcement that Zero from Zero Katana Zero would be a secret playable character. Many people thought the announcement was real until the game director had to confirm it wasn't real and was just a hoax.
    • Zero from Katana Zero is a character that didn't originate from Newgrounds but askiisoft, who made Tower of Heaven, is a game that is available on Newgrounds. Cyansquare, an artist of Katana ZERO is also very present on the website and Newgrounds has promoted Katana ZERO on launch.
      • One of the many people who thought it was real was the person who created this wiki, lol.
  • Johnny Rocketfingers 2 was programmed by NegativeOne who directed and programmed Newgrounds Rumble and Terrascape.
  • The Knight from Hollow Knight did appear in a game called Hungry Knight back in 2014 which was made for a Ludum Dare Game Jam 27.
  • Even though Ikemen Go/Mugen is well-known as a fighting game engine, it is possible to play Puyo Puyo and Tetris on Ikemen Go/Mugen.
