Project NG, The Newgrounds Fighting Game Dojo/Captain/Tankman

Introduction

Captain is from an animated series called TANKMEN created by JohnnyUtah, started in 2006. It stars Captain, and his comrade, Steve. It is mostly known for its constant "Cock Jokes" and crude humor. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world, as depicted by the background of the usual Newgrounds preloader, and shows an ongoing conflict between Captain's group and a rival military group who look similar, but have points on their helmets. The series was an immediate hit and has spawned sequels and parodies. Tankman is also the logo and mascot of Newgrounds.

Captain/Tankman has had multiple appearances in Newgrounds crossovers, one of which being Newgrounds Rumble where in his story mode he is a bit of a newcomer to the Newgrounds team, Tankman will be a sure underdog. The others won't acknowledge that he's always been there, riding the big monochrome tank when they were nothing but concept sketches. In his ending, he takes control of Newgrounds and redesigns it in his image. This takes talented laborers months of work, resulting in a widely criticized April Fools joke.

• Tankman was the newest character that was added to Newgrounds Rumble mid-development back in 2006
• Tankman in Newgrounds Rumble is a different character as seen in his later cartoon due to there being only one TANKMEN cartoon that features Captain at the time so the devs had to get creative with his moveset
  • Tankman wield a gun that Steve weilds in the TANKMEN cartoon
    • Tankman references animations seen in the cartoon such as his running, hit, and death animation
• Captain/Tankman portrait of him holding a green beverage is a reference to Newgrounds Rumble Tankman portrait render of him drinking the green beverage
• Captain/Tankman is the very few characters that is consistent with their prototype sprite to current in Project: NG
• The April Fools joke seen on Newgrounds Rumble did happen on Newgrounds
