Project NG, The Newgrounds Fighting Game Dojo/Nene

Introduction

Nene is the titular main character of Nene Interactive Suicide and a friend of Pico and Darnell. Created by Tom Fulp in 1999, she is a popular girl with suicidal tendencies and signs of promiscuity. She is shown to be skilled at using knives in battle.

Nene has had very few appearances in Newgrounds crossovers, one of which being Newgrounds Rumble where in her story mode she was long dismissed as a hanger-on in Pico's shadow, Nene has entered the battle for King of the Portal to prove that she's more than just the token girl saving the group from 'sausage party' status.

Trivia

• Nene is the only playable female character in Project: NG and Newgrounds Rumble
  • Originally, there was supposed to be another female character in Newgrounds Rumble who was going to be a rival to her similar to how Pico has a rival with Piconjo named Tracie. Tracie was going to be in the game and was the first sprite Luis made for Newgrounds Rumble but she was scrapped due to her sprite being too slow for attacks.
    • Tracie's full unused sprites are considered lost media due to her sprites posted on Newgrounds but only a snippet of it was found.
• Luis Flash animation The Perfect Murder and Pico vs Convict would be the first time Nene was shown wielding sharp melee weapons. Canonically, she had no combat experience before this, but many fan works created afterward have depicted her with some form of blade or knife.
