• All of the stages from Newgrounds Rumble will be remade for Project: NG.
• The Training Ground stage is completely different from the Newgrounds Rumble training room.
  • The Newgrounds Rumble training room was a green void with no music, no platforms, and no fall-offs but in Project: NG it's a traditional training grid with music.
• The Training Ground stage has a few easter eggs/references.
  • The Unnamed Teacher from Pico School appears on the stage as a cameo with a chalkboard and a desk next to her is a reference to Skullgirls training room where a character named Mrs. Victoria from Skullgirls also stands next to a chalkboard and desk.
  • Angry Faci makes a cameo appearance in the game on the left side of the stage.
  • The test dummy from the prototype Gamemaker Studio 2 build makes a cameo appearance on the right side of the stage.
• Wartorn stage in Project: NG is faithful to its Newgrounds Rumble stage with a few differences such as no platforms and character backgrounds.
• Wartorn stage has cameos of characters that appear in the Tankmen cartoon episode 2 such as Private Skittles, The Thugmen, and Ted
  • A tankman taking a piss next to a statue of Captain is a reference to this image.
  • The antagonists from Tankmen episode 2 appearing in Wartorn could be a reference to Pico's School stage from Newgrounds Rumble where Pico's antagonist makes an appearance in the background.
• Nevada stage in Project: NG is completely different from Newgrounds Rumble Nevada stage except for the piles of henchmen/grunts lying dead in the background.
