Hiei is a mixup-oriented character who thrives off of putting his opponents in deadly vortexes. He has a host of tools for the job, most notably a safe, mashable low-to-overhead mixup, and powerful invincible wakeup option, and oppressive aerial coverage. Leaning a tad towards the glass-cannon spectrum of the roster, where he's lacking is in not having any other space controlling options at mid to long-range, susceptibility to dizzies, and some movement quirks that can be off-putting to both new and experienced YYMD players.
Combined with being the only character to have an optional Install, Hiei either finishes the round before it can begin or explodes if someone breathes on him the wrong way.
