- Great for combos; Nikandreos has extremely strong combo potential as a combo starter, extender, and sometimes even ender thanks to its high speed and damage.
- No combos allowed; Nikandreos has frame 3 startup, making it one of the fastest assists in the game, and letting it work as a very strong combo breaker.
- Inexpensive; Nikandreos is tied for the cheapest assist in the game at only 50 meter, making it very easy to get multiple times throughout the game.

- Inconsistency at range; If spaced, the second hit can occasionally fall out and do very little damage.
- One trick pony; While Nikandreos excels at its offensive role as an assist, it doesn't provide much more besides that.

In Fraymakers, Nikandreos stabs in front of him, then does an upward slash, launching the opponent into the air. Due to its high damage, speed, and hitbox, this move is a very strong combo starter with tons of applications.
