Introduction

A rotund Arab man armed with a big scimitar.

Gameplay

Widely considered the best character, Avu has it all: quick long range sword strikes, very fast specials, and a beautiful beard.


Strengths Weaknesses
  • Arabian Drill is the best move in the entire game: extremely fast, goes almost full screen, plus on both hit and block, and can "combo" into a throw on block.
  • 5L is one of the best normals in the entire game, very quick and long reaching low that can easily stuff approaches and pressure defenders.
  • Can still fight well enough even without a weapon.
  • Poor anti-air normals, which get even worse without a weapon.
  • Arabian Burner can anti-air and destroy most projectiles, but it will more often than not leave you wide open for a while.
  • Avu's sword gives opponents the most range out of all weapons.
