Introduction
A no-nonsense fighter whose specialty is Kenpo. His master was actually from the same school as Iwatetsu, and he has a rivalry with Ryuji.
A well-balanced and strong character, Leon has several advantages: long-ranged pokes, a versatile Mid/Mid string, good Health and damage, extended jab pressure, many plus-on-Guard options (and ways to make Counters safe), alongside a superb parry. But the most salient assets are his safe approach and destructive combo potential stemming from a juggle infinite. It's difficult to keep Leon out forever, and any error can have dire consequences.
Lacking any Locks or practical Knockdown moves, it's difficult for him to take a round "out of nowhere," but the chief issue holding Leon back is his Special game. Both Plasma Heel Break and Supernova hit High, making it possible for an opponent to avoid either with good timing. In a worst-case scenario, this means Leon needs three rounds minimum to win a match, rather than two--and therefore, permits his opponents more chances to come back.
