Introduction
In reality the secret child of the organizer. Hearing that an officiate would appear at the event, she attends the tournament so he will acknowledge her as a legitimate successor.
As her playstyle implies, Valerie has excellent juggles. She could juggle you forever, if not for the ledge; she has a challenging but rewarding infinite. Besides her hefty combo ability, Valerie's pressure deserves special mention: she has one of the best reactionary Counters on the roster, delayable launchers, delayable Counters from strings, and to top it off her parry has a much larger active window. Fighting back against Valerie can be a daunting prospect, and if you clam up she can use a proximity unblockable to force you toward a ledge and thrash you there instead.
Her strings are a mixed bag, though. Most either have excellent openers or powerful delayable options, but not both, and she has limited ability to fight at range. Her unblockable compensates for her lack of Locks and low one-off damage, but also means that if an opponent is patient she'll be scoring points slowly and surely, not in bursts (thus posing the risk of a sudden and unwanted comeback).
