Introduction

A very good acrobat, but self-centered and struck out on his own rather than being tied down by the circus. Participated in this tournament for self-promotion. Joker is in fact his brother, who was separated when he was young.

Pierre is for the player who likes to take risks. On paper, his Health is easily the lowest of the cast, his damage is mediocre, and his emphasis on BT and strange gimmickry seems of little use. His only apparent strength is a decent Throw game... until you use Transform. This install stands to raise his damage and buff hitstun on some attacks, but is difficult to set up. Expect to get hurt trying to Transform, since you’ll want to do it at least once: with Transform, Pierre’s game plan blossoms, gaining access to potentially the best frame data and damage in the entire game.

His BT game has silver linings regardless of Transform because Pierre is the only character with proper movement options in BT. The normally-strong Inashi is weakened when Pierre can outmaneuver it, or deal increasingly-high levels of damage if you guess wrong.

But Pierre won’t get to abuse these properties unless he can play solid. Until you successfully Transform, nothing is in Pierre’s favour, and his Health is so low he may never reach it at all.
