Basic Strategy
Negai's goal, as expected, is to hit 9B or 6A, then start using that Negai Loop™, or alternatively just use her high damage output to end rounds quickly. An alternative strategy is to purposely take some damage to take advantage of Gleam's comeback damage scaling, then hit a few moves to TOD.
Negai, like most GOF characters, wants to be in the opponents face and try to limit options as much as possible. Her strong buttons and approach make this a cinch, and her only notable weakness is that she sometimes desyncs the character select on netplay.
Infighter vs. Outboxer
Style Select becomes Style Suggestion to Negai. Infighter allows for more meter which can be used for more Assault INFIGHT, or for turning simple loops into TODs.
Outboxer gives her more escape options, which her only notable one being DP. Having faster movement is also good for Negai, further empowering her strong approach.
Negai's moveset is so strong that even Old Style, which has zero buffs, can be used to get results out of the character.
