Huang Zhong is an exceptionally well-rounded shoto best described as what would happen if Gouken and Akuma did the Fusion Dance, then beat up Raiden and stole his hat.
Sporting a traditional shoto move list, including great normals, a strong reversal, reliable combo tools and hands-down the best fireball in the game, Huang Zhong has the capacity to play comfortably in any situation, be it zoning, rushdown or anything in between. That said, while his move set is both familiar and powerful, he is given precious little room to make mistakes thanks to having one of the lowest HP totals in the game, which makes his lack of easily usable normal anti-airs hurt even more, forcing him to commit to a DP or an air-to-air, making him generally a somewhat high risk, high reward character in many situations.

Huang Zhong is a well-rounded shoto with familiar and exceptionally powerful basic tools that make him highly flexible.
Pros	Cons
Great Movement: Huang Zhong is incredibly fast on the ground, sporting one of the faster walk speeds in the game, alongside great run speed and a fast backdash, all of which make him highly mobile. Extremely Flexible: Along with his movement, great normals, powerful defensive options and the game's best fireball, Huang Zhong has powerful tools that allow him to easily navigate nearly any situation on his own terms.	Fragile: Huang Zhong has among the lowest life totals in the game, which makes mistakes for him even more punishing than they are for just about everyone else. Lacking Normal Anti-Airs: Huang Zhong lacks reliable normal anti-airs, which means his anti-air options are largely relegated to 623P or air-to-airs, both of which represent situations where he can potentially lose out on a lot if he mistimes his response or misjudges the situation.
