Lu Meng lives up to his title as Chaos Generation's resident boxing expert by being a terrifying rushdown mixup character. Able to move like a butterfly with speedy basic movement and plenty of forward-moving attacks, and then sting like a bee with his plethora of overheads, lows and even crossup options, Lu Meng excels at close range, where he can smother his opponents with relentless pressure and mixups that convert into deadly combos. Predictably, however, he suffers from the kind of weaknesses you'd expect of his archetype -- his high speed and offensive burst movement options come at the expense of generally poor range otherwise, causing him to have to commit to specific options to try and get around opponents attempting to wall him out. And Lu Meng would rather not commit if he can help it, given that he has very little in the way of safe special moves without spending meter, which means that navigating neutral with him can be a challenge against more patient opponents.

Lu Meng is a speedy rushdown character who layers on oppressive mixups and frame traps at close range.

Fast Ground Speed: With fast base movement speed and plenty of forward-moving attack options at his disposal, Lu Meng has a lot of ways to get in and stay in. Amazing Offense: With a bevy of mixup options at his disposal, all of which lead to explosive combos, Lu Meng can lay the pressure on opponents and punish mistakes and incorrect guesses incredibly hard.	Poor Range: With his high mobility comes stubby normals and precious few ways of contesting opponents who are content to wall him out at mid to long distances, forcing Lu Meng to rely on more committal options against zoning. Lack of Safety: Many of Lu Meng's approach options are highly committal, either due to a lack of safety on block or lots of startup frames, forcing him to make hard reads or spend resources if he wants to approach safely in neutral.
