Xu Chu is Chaos Generation's more traditional grappler -- but don't let that fool you into thinking grabs are all he's going going for him. With a mix of tools suited for both up-close brawling and mid-range control, Xu Chu wants to force his way in and stay there, using his fearsome pressure options to enforce some of the most terrifying mixups in the game, including multiple instant overheads and -- of course -- his command grab, all of which lead to devastating combos, including one of the game's few meterless infinites. However, while his pressure may be fearsome, he doesn't get that pressure for free -- due to a generally slow movement speed and low jump arcs, Xu Chu often has to rely on more committal mid range options to try and persuade opponents from trying to keep him out, which can be easier said than done against more patient opponents.

Playstyle

Xu Chu is a big body grappler who enforces powerful high/low/throw mixups to smother his opponents.
Pros	Cons
Powerful Pressure and Mixups: With solid close-range pressure normals and a very low jump arc, Xu Chu is able to keep opponents locked down with ease when he gets in, forcing them to deal with powerful mixups, including multiple instant overheads and a command grab, all of which lead to full combos. High Combo Potential: Even by Chaos Generation standards, Xu Chu has access to some very strong and consistent combo options from most starters, including a meterless infinite in the corner.	Grappler Mobility Tax: Because he's a grappler, Xu Chu unfortunately has to deal with the UN-mandated grappler weakness that is "poor movement". While he does benefit from the universal movement systems the game has to offer, slow ground speed and a low jump arc means he can have a hard time finding his way in through the game's various powerful zoning and keepaway characters.
