Combo Theory

Xu Chu's combos rely primarily on setting up juggles with tools like his 236K rekka series, his 63214P command grab or even with a 236P dash cancel. His ability to get meaningful combos midscreen is quite low without meter, so in many ways his combos don't come online until he has a MAX cancel or an EX available.

Key Combo Starters

  2B 2A 2C
  rising j.A j.C j.D

These are the primary way that Xu Chu will start combos on the ground, with the exception of 63214P. From here, he will usually convert into some kind of launcher and begin his combos from there.

BnB Combos

Standard meterless confirm into knockdown midscreen.

Xu Chu's staple route off juggle starters, like EX 236K series or 63214PP.

MAX Mode Combos

Xu Chu doesn't really have any useful free cancels, so he instead relies on air combo loops to keep MAX Mode combos going. It's fairly easy to re-loop once MAX ends with another 3C BC.

Infinite Combo

Making the first hit of each rekka whiff is key, but it's not very difficult to achieve. Use this until it stops dealing damage (and thus building meter), then MAX cancel 3C so you can start doing damage again.
