Avengers in Galactic Storm/Korath/Assists

While the strength of some assists in certain situations is undeniable, assist preference will frequently come down to a player's own preference and what they more immediately desire, something to always keep in mind.

Att Lass CS.png
Att Lass
[character page]
Can have its uses, Korath certainly appreciates instant stun as much as anyone on the cast, but Att-Lass' doing only low chip on block and not having much of an ability to occupy screen space like some other assists (Giant Man, Iron Man) can leave Att-Lass feeling relatively useless in certain situations. Like other assists, can still vary heavily depending on matchup and player preference.
Giant Man CS.png
Giant Man
[character page]
Generally slower than Korath would typically like, and Korath frequently being the one approaching means his mastery of covering nearly the whole screen for defensive utility isn't quite as appreciated, but Korath appreciates the damage and weird reverse scaling Giant Man delivers on a successful grab as much as any character.
Iron Man CS.png
Iron Man
[character page]
More generally useful to Korath than Ultimus thanks to not having his beam disappear if he's scrolled off-screen, but also less useful in anti-zoning situations thanks to his shorter duration.
Ronan CS.png
Ronan
[character page]
Not quite as useful as Vision at being a fast, immediate callout, but Ronan spending much more time on screen and even the hitboxes extending from the "dust clouds" spawned when he lands can be a very effective "get off me" tool, on top of higher damage potential if all hits connect.
Sentry CS.png
Sentry
[character page]
More screen reliant than Ronan or Vision thanks to coming out from the side behind Korath, and frequently less damage than either, but near impossible to avoid under normal circumstances thank to Sentry's sheer size gives this assist at least one pretty decent advantage against either.
Thor CS.png
Thor
[character page]
Not a horrible choice, but Korath doesn't frequently need what Thor provides that often, even forcing an opponent to back off when Korath is cornered lest they get unblock isn't usually that badly wanted, as Korath already has a reliable DP that takes less time to preform than calling for an assist.
Ultimus CS.png
Ultimus
[character page]
Ultimus' immediate stop in firing projectiles when scrolled off-screen can frequently be at odds with Korath's own goal of advancing forward, but is undeniable as an anti-zoning tool in situations where even Vision isn't quite cutting it for him.
Vision CS.png
Vision
[character page]
A superb "pressing buttons" callout, Vision's simplicity merely underlies the sheer versatility of this assist: fast anti-air, anti-zoning tool, "get me out of this throw" emergency airbag, Vision can do much, and Korath appreciates every part of it. Far from the only assist for Korath, and there are times where other assists might be more appreciated, but Vision still stands as an excellent "base" assist for Korath to start at before contemplating other choices.
