Overview

Cyborg is a returning character in the Jump Jousts series. In Jump Jousts 2, Cyborg was generally seen as a worse version of Robin due to them both relying on a projectile special, with Cyborg only having niche advantages such as better anti-airs. In this installment, Cyborg has a far different playstyle, taking moves like 6A and 4A from Jack Chumbo from Stick Fighter. Combined with his other attributes, Cyborg plays notably differently from his past iteration.

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Speed: Having the fastest shorthops in the game, Cyborg is able to move through a lot of space, especially when combined with 4A's backwards movement.
  • Weight: Cyborg's high weight makes many things unsafe on hit against him.
  • 4A: Cyborg's 4A is an incredibly safe and disjointed poke which allows him to safely challenge many options
  • Size: Cyborg's large hurtbox makes avoiding certain setups or neutral tools difficuly.
  • Damage: Cyborg has no way to combo without the use of assists.
  • Approach: While not terrible, Cyborg's approach can often be committal due to the use of empty hops and fullhop 6A.

Strategy

Composition

Cyborg is usually run as a point character, where he is able to control neutral before the opponent's anchor is able to use their metered options to abuse his size.
