Playstyle

Toxicroak is a keep-away zoner using a variety of tools to keep the opponent out.

Keepaway King: 5b, 4b, and 2b all help establish screen-space, dominating opponents without the tools to navigate them. Damage Over Time: Toxicroak's poison mechanic slowly drains the opponent's lifebar until Croak is thrown or parried. Safe Reversal: 421b is 0 on block and invulnerable on startup, allowing you to trade a bar of meter for a Get Out of Jail Free Card. Unblockable Super: 43216b is a 2 bar unblockable bubble with a lingering hitbox that both dominates neutral and leads to massive damage with the right setup.

Glass Cannon: Tied for the lowest health and guard value, Croak's gameplan can fall apart quickly if their opponent manages to close the distance. Meter Deficient: While Croak has some of the best uses of meter, he has no reliable way of building it aside from reads on the opponent's habits.
