Overview

Garnet is a new character to the Jump Jousts series. She is a heavy and fast brawler sporting large buttons with generous properties, making her a good, if relatively basic neutral-dominant character. She is an interesting addition to the game's roster.


Strengths Weaknesses
  • Speed: Garnet's fast shorthops and relatively low recovery on 6A mean she doesn't have to commit heavily
  • Anti-Zoning: Garnet's 6A has Bullet Break and hits high, making many zoning and camping strategies difficult to run.
  • Anti-Approach: Garnet's kit of large anti-airs along with 4A's Pin and large shockwave can make approaching her difficult.
  • Weight: Garnet is one of the heavier characters in the game, allowing her to punish many tools on hit that others might not be able to.
  • Evasiveness: Many of Garnet's moves have hurtbox shifts or armor making her surprisingly difficult to hit for her size.
  • Tag: Garnet's tag is fast with a massive hitbox, being one of few tags to hit crossup.
  • Size: Garnet's large size can be detrimental in some matchups during last hit or against certain assists.
  • Meter Usage: Garnet's uses of meter are decent, but generally worse than most of the cast.
