Introduction
Kamen Rider Kaixa
Kamen Rider Kaixa is the loathsome semi-friend of Faiz, and an all-around total jerk.
In-game, he's an offensive powerhouse with some flexibility. Kaixa has access to advancing normals that start a full combo, an incredibly fast rekka-type special move, a quick unblockable air projectile, and the rare ability to play completely meterlessly while he does all of that.
Playstyle
Kamen Rider Kaixa mauls the opponent, and punishes their patience with unblockables. |
Pros |
Cons |
- Speed and Range: Kaixa's 2L is an extremely strong advancing attack, and his 5S rekka starter is extremely fast, so he's comfortable applying pressure at any distance.
- Plays Completely Meterless: Because he doesn't need his Rider Gauge for combos or to access a critical neutral tool, he can use it freely to enhance his already-strong neutral and pressure and go over the top.
- High Average Damage: Kaixa doesn't have access to an infinite or highly practical touch of death combo, but his already-useful single moves (rekka, jS) deal huge damage, and he's always able to get into a full combo.
|
- Weird Jumping Attacks: Kaixa doesn't have a normal jumping attack. His closest thing is jL, a huge jumping kick, but it bounces him upward on startup and can throw off his positioning, making it a little awkward for Kaixa to go to the air in some scenarios.
- Defense: Although he is very able to fight from disadvantage, Kaixa can't relax on defense. Kaixa takes extra damage, and can't bail out his Guard Gauge once it's spent.

Rekka finisher. Shockingly, this is the safest part of the rekka, being only slightly negative. Crosses through the opponent on hit, deals a TON of guard damage when blocked. If this guard crushes, the defender will be launched upwards during the guard crush, keeping it safe.

During Assault Mode, Kaixa gains 2 extra stages in his rekka series, and an extra final hit. Especially useful for activating Assault Mode after blocking something and then swinging as quickly as possible. This version of the rekka series is identical for the first three strikes, then does a slower fourth rekka that does not jail, and can be sidestepped. In return, the whole rekka does more than enough guard damage to completely drain the guard gauge.

Kaixa fires an unblockable gunshot. On hit, his opponent is held in place while he slashes through them. Sees use as a combo ender, and as a mixup from an RC during a blocked string.

Kaixa fires an unblockable gunshot at an angle from the air. On hit, his opponent is held in place while he divekicks them. Remarkably fast, considering it's unblockable. Very useful as a mixup and as a meaty.

Kaixa uses the Assault Style. Pressing Style Action with at least two stocks of Rider Gauge at any time (besides during hitstun) activates Assault Mode.
During Assault Mode, Kaixa gains the following extended strings:
|
|
Combos
- 2LL > [5HH] repeat x5 > RC > 6S
- 2LL > [5HH] repeat x5 > 2HHS
- 2LL > [5HH] repeat x5 > Rider Finale
- Standard link combo. 5HH's ground bounce is untechable, so it can be looped up to 4 additional times after any launch.
- [5HH > RC > 6S] serves as a damage ender. Ending instead with 2HHS leaves the opponent with some red health, but grants an Instant Charge and makes this combo build just shy of a full Rider Gauge on its own.
- jH (3 hits) > land > RA > 5SSSS
- Kaixa is able to combo from his jH projectile if he's able to land all three of its hits. 5S is the most consistent option as it is his fastest attack, but it's possible sometimes to link 5HH.
