- Fubuki Shirakami
-
- While Fubuki is quite threatening close up and in the corner, Botan has the tools to keep her out with her disjointed normals, punishing her for approaching haphazardly. Both players are forced to respect each others tools, often leading to slow neutral that explodes once either player gets an advantage.
- Fubuki generally controls the neutral from roundstart distance or farther. Her fireballs shut down 5M~M approaches, and her Tatsu will punish any attempts to zone her. While 214L is an answer to fireball at first glance, Fubuki can react with Tatsu, getting in for free depending on the spacing. It is often better to jump over fireballs with j2H, only using 214L occasionally to catch her off guard.
- Botan can prevent Fubuki from dashing in with 5M and 2M depending on how close she is. Fubuki's 5M will outrange Botan's best pokes, but she can punish predictable 5Ms with a whiff punish or preemptive j2H; the latter is riskier as Fubuki can dash up 2H on a read instead.
- Botan has an extremely hard time antiairing Fubuki's jH when done close up, especially in the corner, as 2H gets crossed up and airthrow is too slow. Botan has to guess which side the jH will hit and block or attempt a dash under on a hard read.

- Sora Tokino
-
- Because Sora controls the zoning game, this match-up requires a lot of patience and capitalization on your knockdown opportunities to snowball the game.
- 214 L/M and 236M (Ground grenades) become much harder to use due to her reflector.
- 6M can be punished at a lot of ranges on block by 5M.
