Story
Ranno was known as a feared martial artist who trained under wise monks. But now he prefers to peacefully protect his swampy homeland. When he has no other option, you can see glimpses of his rapid and deliberate strikes. Combine his training with his poisonous nature and you have a real threat on your hands.
Gameplay
Overview Ranno is a versatile character who can switch between offensive and defensive heavy playstyles depending on his pilot; using his needles, ground movement, and combo strings to drive a wedge into the tiniest gap.

Poison
Ranno's Strong Attacks and Neutral Special have the ability to poison the opponent for up to 4 points of poison. While poisoned, opponents will take 1% each time they do an attack, however they will take off a point of poison when they hit you and they'll take off all poison if they parry you. The amount of poison an opponent has will also extend the amount of time they're in bubble for.

- One of Ranno's main tools for being able get his combos started. Can start confirming into Up Strong at around mid to high percent for most characters which can help net you a quick kill.
- While it may seem like a good move to just throw out in order to get those combos and kills, it's still somewhat stubby and has a considerable amount of endlag on whiff so it's not ideal to just throw it out willy nilly.
- The numbers in [] refers to the endlag on whiff.
