Introduction
Satsuki Kiryuin -Dual-Wield Variation- (鬼龍院 皐月)
Bakuzan was a special sword capable of severing Life Fibers, that was noted by Satsuki to have a sharper edge than that of a Scissor blade. It was eventually broken in half in the battle against Ragyō. The shards are eventually reforged into Bakuzan Gako and Bakuzan Kōryu, a long blade and short blade respectively. Now holding two blades, their effect is the same as the twin Scissor Blades, being capable of damaging Life Fibers beyond their regenerative powers. Satsuki's skill with these blades is extensive and adaptable, as she has gone toe-to-toe against various other sword wielding opponents.
Overview
Dual Wield Satsuki is quite different from her single blade counterpart, this version of Satsuki is very fast, capable of some of the flashiest and highest damaging combos in the game, and is capable of cracking her opponent's guard open like an egg with her 5[B], which is one of the scariest moves in the entire game. Her 5[B] is an unreactable guard crushing projectile that quickly leads into her ToDs. She also is capable of dash canceling nearly anything she does, she can do this for mobility, to stay safe off of certain options, to burst bait, or even enhance certain moves. This makes Dual-Wield Satsuki one of the most terrifying characters to fight, as even the slightest mistake against her will most likely result in death. However, with how tight her execution needs to be to do these things, she requires extremely quick reflexes and precise timings to play effectively.
Playstyle
Dual-Wield Satsuki is a versatile rushdown who specializes in dash cancels. |
Pros |
Cons |
- Volatile Damage: Dual-Wield Satsuki has some of the highest damage in the game, capable of doing ToD combos against most of the cast with her massive burst damage from 5[B].
- Low Commitment: Many of Dual-Wield Satsuki's moves have low recovery and can be dash and or jump canceled, allowing her to remain safe from at nearly any range and bait out opponents with ease while running her offense, she can also use her cancels to burst bait her opponents and make her combos very difficult to burst.
- Can Opener: Dual-Wield Satsuki boasts some of the scariest mix-ups in the game, as well as a multitude of unblockable setups that make it nearly impossible to defend against her offense for long. Her 5[B] is the main tool that enables this as it is an unreactable projectile that guard crushes, which she can convert from.
- Movement: Has top-class mobility with her fast walkspeed, step dash, and extremely fast homing dash, which can be enhanced to become the fastest homing dash in the game.
|
- Glass Cannon: Dual-Wield Satsuki is quite fragile with only having 9,500 health, if she gets too careless she can easily get two touched by most characters if they call her out.
- Execution: Her execution ceiling is undisputedly the highest in the game, as her neutral and combos both require very mechanically clean execution to be optimal, which also makes even the smallest bits of lag a very large detriment to her if playing online.
