Circular book swing. Primary launcher and can be used as anti-air. Cancellable into C, D, and Specials. The pages of the book are projectiles and can nullify other projectiles.

The pages are air blockable but the part where Licht is swinging is arm is air unblockable (because he’s physically smacking you with the book).

Plus on block at close range, but negative from further away (because the final hit will whiff).

Lots of hitstun and main normal for hit confirming into big combos.

Can whiff against low crouching opponents (Noah if hes in blocking animation).

Air unblockable. About -1 on block.

Licht halts air movement during j.6A, making it useful for movement.

A gigantic version of 5B. Floats the opponent on hit.

The pages coming from the book are technically still part of the normal, so they cannot be dashed through.

Nullifies projectiles like 5B. Negative on block at close range and from max range. But neutral on block at midrange (because all hits will connect at this range).

An important tool for Licht, who tends to lose out in fireball wars.

Projectile invuln continues for a bit even after the move comes out, making it good for flying past fireballs.

Punishable on block, however it can be made safe if you Bridecancel a 6C/j.6C (Lvl3+) as the laser will hit after the DB is blocked.

Transforms pages of the bible into a knives and proceeds to stab the opponent. Lots of hits make it a nice combo ender to tack on for big damage. Useful for chip, as all versions are very + on block.

Just don't whiff this.

Mash A can be mashed indefinitely

Mash B stabs for a long time. Can be easily Reflected on block.

Mash AB will automatically stab a set amount of times without having to continuously mash, sends the opponent flying into the corner on the last hit.

B and AB versions can loop into themselves, depending on the distance.

Slams the Bible on the ground, creating a pillar of light. Short horizontal reach makes it not-so-great as an anti-air, but still has some invuln to beat out Dashes with, along with the EX version being the only real reversal in your arsenal.

22A is Upper-Body Strike Invuln

22B is Upper-Body Projectile Invuln 1-18f

22AB has Full-Body Invuln (except for Throws!), making it a decent wakeup reversal.

All versions shoot a pillar of light that is considered a projectile and air blockable. The pillar of light also will nullify projectiles (even on versions of the move that aren’t projectile invul).

Negative on block.

Technically super cancellable, if you can buffer a 22 in a 641236AB(64122x236AB).

Fires balls of light that fan out in the direction shot. Can be held to increase the amount of projectiles.

Dash/jump/special/super cancellable e.g. 5C jc j.C to fire the projectiles twice.

Painfully slow, which also means that the balls stay on the screen for a long period of time, forcing the opponent to Dash towards you, which in turn can be punished with a j.214x on reaction.

There’s a deadzone between where the projectiles are launched and Licht himself.

j.2C fires the projectiles at 45 degrees.

At Lvl2, a 2nd one is added at Licht's feet.

At Lvl 3, a 3rd one is placed at Licht's waist.

On j.6C, the lasers are closer together and more dense then the grounded version.

The shield disappears after a short time, if Licht is hit or if the opponent touches it(the shield itself is also a projectile).

6B and EX Angriff give you plenty of time to set up a shield. Can be useful for projectile-heavy matchups like Yui.

Haniel creates a static barrier. While Licht is inside that barrier, he generates Super Meter.

If Licht or Haniel are attacked, the barrier disappears after a short delay. Since Haniel appears in front of Licht, the barrier is extra easy to destroy.

However it can be used in the air, and you can play a mindgame where you whiffpunish the opponent swinging around specifically because of the barrier or using the meter you gain for combos if they refuse to challenge it.

Haniel creates a yellow barrier. While Licht is inside that barrier, he regenerates lost HP.

If Licht or Haniel are attacked, the barrier disappears after a short delay. Since Haniel appears in front of Licht, the barrier is extra easy to destroy.

The regeneration rate is pretty fast at Engagement Level 3+ and you can use this to regain or maintain a life lead, if an opportunity presents itself.

Similar to DC, Haniel appears and creates a large aura around her that’s a multi-hitting attack.

Haniel stays in place even on Reflect(only Licht is pushed backwards), so it can still be a nice last measure even against Reflect mash.

General Strategy

Basic Notes on Neutral:

-Bullet game is slow and requires a lot of setup. When possible try to contest characters with faster bullets with 6B instead. If you get a chance set out as many 6C as you can.

-Catch jumps with 6B, and anti-air with 22A or even Mash A.

-After knockdowns you can setup oki with DC for a left/right mixup or setup 6C to regain neutral.

-Approach by setting 6C and then using DA or DB to close the gap. Example.

-Rushdown by inputting 299. This gives Licht’s lowest possible jump arc by superjumping and then immediately double jump cancelling. Also added bonus of directional influence. If you end up superjumping behind them the double jump will auto-correct to the correct side and you can get a crossup.

-Use 3 button-tap A Angriff to reinforce respect. It'll combo from 2A, 5B or 2C, is excellent at building space, can combo into j.214AB on hit depending on current position, and will clash with some of the fullscreen beams and projectiles.
